(More customer reviews)The HP 461646 GT20L Lightscribe Laptop DVD burner was the exact replacement for the defective one. Just had to remove the plastic face plate from the old unit and install it on the new one, configure the rear connector, slip it into place in the laptop and, bingo, I was done.
Tested the new unit immediately by burning a 4 DVD set of computer backup disks. Burned them without a hitch. Did not test the lightscribe feature but assumed it was OK after burning the backup disks.
