(More customer reviews)So far I've burned and labeled most of a 25 cd pack. They all work in both cars (Pioneer in one & a 6-cd indash changer *very finicky* in the other), in the computer (HP), on the house stereo(Denon)...no problems with playback....even with up to 16 songs. I did find an upgrade for the Lightscribe technology that darkens the images on the label, which looks better. I've even used it with imported pictures, and they look very slick. I'd like to see a multi-pack tho with a mix of colors & larger quantities.

(More customer reviews)I bought a cakebox of 50 HP(Branded) lightscribe DVDs for $20 and they looked fine and quickly shipped. I recorded my content on a disk just fine. I went to label the disk and the disk writer didn't recognize the disk. I had just finished labeling a box of 25 HP DVDs from Staples. I tried 6 more disks and the bottom one to verify my findings. BE CAREFUL check them out don't stash them for later use. Amazon was great with my returning them.

And I didn't even get an invoice/receipt.

(More customer reviews)Lightscribe beats a magic marker hands down. The colored background of these disc adds style to my growing library of burned cd's. I use different burners with Lightscribe capability and the HP 1170i does the best job on the label printing, especially using of course HP Disc. I burned through a stack of "Verbatim" and about half of them were coasters. When you pay a premium for Lightscribe, you want a better percentage of good burns than that. The HP Disc also seems to burn and print faster. The cost is the only gripe I have with Lightscribe. I got a deal on these and the were just over .27 cents each when bought in 100s.
The density of the printing comes out best at the highest setting when selecting quality of print. Print time will run anywhere from two to 25 minutes depending on text only at about average of five minutes and up to the average of twenty minutes for printing from a color picture. The secret is to convert a color picture to grey scale first before printing it to Lightscribe, this will cut print time in half.

DVD+R 16X L 50SPN LIT Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this product because my new computer has LightScribe and I just had to try it out.
Burnt a home video to the DVD and it recorded quickly and easily - no data loss.
I then "flipped" it over and used LightScribe on it. Decent quality.
I know some people don't like HP, but I didn't have any problems with this product. I have an HP computer, DVD with LightScribe, Quad-core processor and 6gb of ram and had no issues with this.
Please note: If you don't have LightScribe, don't buy this. There are much cheaper DVD's out there to buy. Only buy this if you have LightScribe and you want to use LightScribe. Don't know if you have it? You probably don't. LightScribe is a way for you to label your DVD's with the laser inside of your DVD writer/player. It works fairly well and is cool, but if you don't have one, you are just wasting money buying these.
Have a LightScribe but not sure if you will use it? I say buy a pack and try it out. Play with it a little. You can always go back to regular DVD's.
By the way, one question people always ask, "Which type of DVD should I buy? +R -R RW??? Which one!?!? If you plan on recording something to play on a regular DVD, it is my opinion that the DVD+R (this product) is the best choice. The RW ones are mainly used for writing more than once on the DVD and you can have some compatibility issues. Normal user? Sending home videos to grandma? Buy the +R (this product.)
