(More customer reviews)I was about to pay more for a 1" mirror from harbor freight. I'm glad I didn't. This one is twice the size, extends further and is far better made than their $5 mirror. I felt like it was too small a purchase to have them bother shipping it on it's own, so I bought another item from the same seller. Amazon went ahead and shipped them each in their own box though, which I found amusing.
Anyway it seems like a durable tool that should last me many years. It holds the angle well, and you can adjust the tension if it ever loosens up later. The mirror is well-attached too, so I'm not worried about it falling down into my engine. Though if the spot weld does give way for some reason, it looks like it would be easy to epoxy back on, as there's a nice wide connection.
