(More customer reviews)I have an older Dell Precision with a Pentium 4. I was worried about getting the SATA set up, but it was no problem. I use the drive to extract MKVs and backup movies. So far, so good. Just know that to handle Blu-Rays, your PC should have an upgraded graphics card and power supply. Also, check out several different players because some will work better on your PC than others. I haven't burnt any CDs or DVDs with it, but have read elsewhere that it is pretty slow. So I left my old DVD burner in the 2nd bay.

(More customer reviews)Got it home, popped open the pc, used the included sata cables to install it. Closed it up, turned it on, Windows 7 recognized it right away. Then I installed the included Cyberlink software. I was watching a Blu-Ray within 30 minutes of opening the box. I run a HDMI through my Sony STR-DH800 to my 56" Panasonic 56lcz70, looks and sounds amazing. Turned on the pass-through feature, loved it.
