(More customer reviews)Having just come back from Cairo, this Museum is by far one of the best museums I've ever been to in the world when it comes to artifacts and collections. However, it sucks for labeling of exhibits. And there's no photos allowed, so you're basically left to run around the Museum itself without a quality guide.
Enter the Pocket Book. I picked this book up at the Museum itself to help me remember the names and the major pieces of the Museum. Plus, since there are no photos allowed inside of the Museum, it helps me explain to friends and family what it is that I saw while in there. And it makes for an awesome book if you're into Egypt, the Pharoahs, the Pyramids or any of the historical things that makes Egypt a land of wonder - even just as a general reference book.
There's a larger companion to this book, which is around $50. Both are excellent books, but the latter is more of a nice coffee table book instead of this being a pocket reference guide.
